Stephen W. Simpson (Ph.D. Clinical Psychology, M.A. Theology) is Director of Clinical Training and Assistant Professor in the School of Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary. As a Clinical Psychologist, he has worked for over ten years with adults, adolescents and couples, specializing in relationships, anxiety, and sexual issues. He is the former director of an adolescent/pediatric unit in a psychiatric hospital and a former youth pastor. He writes and speaks regularly about relationships, sexuality, and faith. He is the author of Assaulted by Joy: The Redemption of a Cynic, and What Women Wish You Knew about Dating. His work has appeared in Christianity Today, Relevant Magazine, Runners World Magazine and as a columnist for DivineCaroline.com. He and his wife Shelley live in Southern California with their four year-old . . . (wait for it) . . . quadruplets.
